You Are Welcome
At Bromley Town Church, we believe that everyone is made in the image of God and has intrinsic value. We are a church for all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Whether this is your first time visiting church or you’ve been part of church for years, we want you to feel safe, welcome, and able to engage in a way that works for you.
We recognise that not all needs are visible—please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can support you.
Our Sunday service starts at 10am and lasts around 90 minutes, you can find out more information about a typical service on our Plan a Visit page. You are always free to sit, stand, or move around in your seat, or at the back. You can step out at any time and engage as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
The Space
We have a dedicated quieter room called “The Space”. This room is available for anyone who needs a calmer environment at any point during the service. The Space is located on left when you enter the building (the second door) and is clearly signed. Here you can find
• Sofas, bean bags and comfortable seating
• Sensory aids such as headphones and fidget items
• A live video link to the main service
• Please note: Children must be supervised at all times
Physical accessibility
Our building includes:
• Step-free access via a ramp
• An accessible toilet on the ground floor
• Flexible seating options in the main hall
• We are very happy to reserve seats in a location that works best for you, please just let us know.
Please note, currently there is no step-free access or lift to the first floor. Upstairs is where our Bromley Kids (5-11) and Bromley Youth (11+) are located. If you require access to upstairs we can provide support.
Hearing and visual support
We want our services to be accessible for those who are deaf, hard of hearing or have visual impairments. We offer:
• A hearing loop system
• BSL (British Sign Language) interpretation during services (and on our Live stream via Youtube)
• A monitor near the front for visual support
• An active deaf ministry
Children and families
We want every child to feel safe, supported, and able to enjoy church. Our children’s groups are
• Bromley Kids Foundations (under 5s)
• Bromley Kids (Reception – Year 6)
• Bromley Youth ( Year 7- 13 & college age)
We understand that children have different needs, and we are always happy to talk through your child’s needs in advance, help your child settle at their own pace and make adjustments where possible. You can find out more on our Kids and Youth pages:
We can also provide a simple visual guide or social story upon request to help your child know what to expect when they arrive. If you require this, please drop an email in advance to [email protected].
Planning your visit
We know that visiting somewhere new can feel overwhelming. If it would help to plan ahead, we would love to support you and make reasonable adjustments where possible.
For example, we can
• Reserve seats in a suitable area
• Show you around the building beforehand
• Share photos or a visual guide
• Talk through what to expect
You can always email us at [email protected]
